About US

murdoch university volleyball club has approx. 120 members in wavl & wavjl !

Founded in 2018, Murdoch University Volleyball Club has been striving to produce the best performance from each member of the team. From coaching them on the ins-and-outs of the sport to honing their athletic skills, we’re proud to teach not only the love of the game, but to also impart the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork and loyalty.

OUR TEAMS

In 2025, MUVC proudly entered eight teams into the Western Australian Volleyball League (WAVL) and three teams into the Western Australian Junior Volleyball League (WAVJL). This growth reflects the club’s commitment to providing opportunities for players at all levels, from juniors through to senior competition.

Registrations

In addition to our WAVL and WAVJL teams, MUVC also offers a range of programs for players of all ages and skill levels. These include Kids and Junior Volley, designed to introduce younger players to the sport, Pre-Season Training to help athletes prepare for competition, and our popular Friday Drop-In Socials, a fun and casual way to play volleyball and connect with the community.

Our home

Murdoch University Volleyball Club (MUVC) is based at Murdoch Active, on the Murdoch University campus. We proudly acknowledge the Whadjuk Noongar people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we train, play, and live. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and we honour the Whadjuk Noongar people as the true custodians of this place.

We pay our respects to Elders past and present, to those leading the way today, and to emerging leaders who will continue this legacy into the future. Murdoch has always been a place of learning for Noongar people, and at MUVC we strive to respect that history by creating a space for the next generation of excellence in sport, culture, and community.
