Hussain alattas

Hussain Alattas is the original founder of Murdoch University Volleyball Club (MUVC) and remains a respected and influential figure within the club and the wider WA volleyball community. He brings a wealth of experience from his time coaching at Fremantle Fury Volleyball Club, where he led both Division 1 and State League Reserve Women’s teams.

Known for his unorthodox and creative training methods, Hussain believes in keeping sessions energetic, engaging, and fun—often with music playing in the background to lift the atmosphere and encourage player connection. His approach blends technical development with team culture, helping athletes feel comfortable, motivated, and confident on court.



Hussain is an excellent coach who values commitment, effort, and personal growth. Players appreciate his approachable nature and the way he takes time to connect with individuals, whether it’s about volleyball or just having a friendly chat. His passion for the game and for building community was the foundation upon which MUVC was created, and his influence continues to be felt throughout the club today.
