Laura Mocca is an experienced volleyball and beach volleyball coach with a career spanning over two decades. Originally from Italy, Laura has been involved in the sport since the 1990s, playing in leagues such as Italian Division 1, Serie D, and Uisp mixed. She began coaching in 1996 and has since coached players across nearly every level—youth, juniors, and adults, both male and female.
Laura completed her first coaching certification through the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV) in 2002, followed by a second in 2003. These certifications involved over 100 hours of formal training with some of Italy’s leading coaches, including lectures, practical sessions, match analysis, and training design. She has also undertaken more than 400 hours of continuing professional development through FIPAV’s structured education program.
Since moving to Australia, Laura has remained active in both coaching and competition. She played in the State League Reserve competition in 2020–2021 and has coached and played beach volleyball locally since 2015. In 2022, Laura joined MUVC as Head Coach (Women’s) alongside Emanuele Nagliati. Together, they have led the club’s top-level programs with a focus on long-term athlete development, inclusivity, and performance.
