Pochen Chen

Pochen Chen is in his second year coaching MUVC’s Men’s Division 2 team and has quickly proven to be a reliable and dedicated leader. Under his guidance, the team has shown dramatic improvement, climbing into the top four this season and earning a place in the finals.

Originally from Taiwan, Chen brings a unique coaching perspective shaped by Asian-style volleyball, blending discipline, technical precision, and high expectations. He is known for his strict coaching style, which challenges players to push themselves further, but also for his dependability, punctuality, and strong commitment to his team’s success.

While his players sometimes joke about the toughness of his approach, they consistently return eager to learn more—testament to the respect he has earned and the progress he has inspired.
